xAPI Alley / DevLearn 2012You’ve probably heard by now (because we can’t shut-up about it) that mLearnCon was a huge success for the Experience API.
Not only did ADL officially bless xAPI as the way forward for e-learning specs, we also had 15+ early adopters in attendance, and standing room only in xAPI Alley (right…we weren’t given many chairs, but we also had a ton of folks hanging out getting their xAPI learning on).

By the end of the show, xAPI was all folks could talk about. It was a really proud moment for us collectively (ADL, The Guild, Rustici, and all of the early adopters), but we wanted more, and our sights were set on DevLearn 12. Fortunately, The Guild has carved out a home for xAPI at DevLearn. xAPI Alley will be back in full effect!
So here’s where you come in. We’re looking for the next crop of adopters to join the xAPI community and make an even bigger splash at DevLearn. If you’ve been standing on the sidelines, considering adoption, or were just waiting for the right time, this is it! As with mLearnCon, there will be a ton of xAPI buzz at DevLearn not only in xAPI Alley, but throughout the show. People will be talking about xAPI, and if you’re an adopter, they’ll be talking to you!
With only 3 months until showtime, this is the time to take a good look at your existing tools and applications and imagine where a xAPI implementation makes sense for your organization and, most importantly, for your users. Better yet, build that shiny new something you’ve always wanted to build and use xAPI for all of your tracking needs.
Finally, get in touch with us! We want to know if you have plans to adopt and we want to help as you work through your adoption.
See y’all in Vegas… DevLearn 12 or bust!

Andy joined our team to evangelize xAPI. Now he talks to people about all of the eLearning standards all day because he is considered a “salesperson.” He’s also our office jokester – he’s a punny guy.
